This is my first lazy Saturday in I don’t know when…

Today I found myself sleeping late, waking to an empty house and a full coffee pot and the Food Network all morning. Boy, I can’t even remember the last time that happened. I feel like the Johnny cash Song-I’ve been to Savannah, Destin, Stumpy Springs, Nashville, Chicago, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham-I’ve been everywhere man –I’ve been everywhere! Today I am home and it feels really good!

In less than two weeks I will be fifty-did you hear me the BIG 50! I will officially be old! But I took that real age test and it said I’m 36. Somebody’s lying.  I think I know-my beautiful, precious, awesome God given angels keep me young!

I love being with my family and friends and I try to do that as often as possible. I really love my Sunday School class and miss it when I am not there-we lift each other up in all ways.

I have lots on my mind-but one thing I really have there is priorities and choices. We all have them and we make them. Sometimes we make bad choices and then we must pay the consequence. Sometimes we get our priorities out of order and we need to have a heart check. I’ve been there- I sometimes feel like a frequent visitor there. I put things –even if they are good things above the most important thing…Knowing , pleasing and living for God!

Have I  told anyone lately about the Lord and how He loves them and how they can have eternal life –which by the way -will be so much better than this life(and I love my life)!

I was driving home from Tuscaloosa last weekend and I was listening to my WOW 2009 CD and a song came on and I listened to every word and I began to cry.You see I get to living and I don’t tell people enough, especially that daughter or son I pray for many times a day , that Jesus loves them and that’s the most important thing.

Turn off my playlist and -Watch please and listen to each word-tell me do you know someone who needs to know this today…

I thank God that He loves and has given me love for others.

"For God so loved Lorie that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

I thank God that He has blessed me with so much more than I deserve. I pray that I am a blessing and will always share my blessings with others.

Psalm 84:12
O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

I thank God that He has  shown me great Mercy-You see I am a sinner and I still sin although He has saved me. I thank Him for second and third and tenth chances.I THANK HIM THAT NOTHING i DO WILL SEPERATE ME FROM HIM. I pray I show others mercy-when they fall, make wrong choices,or even when they hurt me.

Ephesians 2:3-5 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.

Okay-I feel good this Saturday morning!

It’s almost noon –do you think I need to get out of my gown and do something constructive? I believe not…

I hope I just did.

Tell someone you love today that Jesus loves  them.

Tell someone you don’t know that they can experience true happiness –even in these tough times we live in.

If you see someone in need –help them and then say you did it because it has been done for you a long time ago at Calvary.

Thanks for letting me sit in my easy chair on my first lazy Saturday in my cotton gown and share the best news I know.

Be blessed!!!

Tell me this is all true...

Thought this was neat!

One Flaw In Women
(Author Unknown)
Women have strengths that amaze men..
They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give...
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

I'm in Chicago

I flew last night through turbulence~I did not cry once. I know why-people were praying for me. I was prayed up !God is good all the time ! Now, My best friend Barbie and her two sisters and I are going to head out to see what we can see, eat what we can eat and have a good day! The only thing that would make it better is if my JUJU was here with us! We are going to be flying home on her birthday and I wish she could have come!
Have you ever realized that God is wonderful- I'm here to say He is ~ WE bought our plane tickets way back at the first of the year when fares were really low-on sale!! We got them for the month of May because it would be warmer and no snow!! Now it's come to pass that it was our appointed time to be here, because Nikki-Barbie's sister could really use some encouragement at this time. They are having some health issues in the family -those of us who have the peace of who holds all our days and problems try not to fall apart during times like these-that's my prayer now -we can help Nikki and lift her up.And we do know how to have a good time and laugh and we will definitely spend some quality time with her.I will definitely post some pictures later!!
I will leave you with this quick little tidbit to laugh at...
when I went throughthe security checkpoint-I set off the alarm. If you know me- at all times I have 5 silver bracelets I never take off-one will have to be cut off. Well the security lady said take off all your jewelry so I took of earrings, bracelets-except for the one that has to be cut off- I still set it off . So she makes me step in a clear booth and wait, then she takes me to another clear room which is bigger and says she will have to search me and frisk me... so she starts with the wand and rubs it everywhere - would you believe the ridgets on my jeans pocket and My LARGE underwire of my bra was the culprit-then I get the happy ,happy joy , joy of the pat down. She said I'm sorry I have to do this then she puts her gloved hands in between my BOSOMS- and then feels all around my bazoombas! Then she feels all over where I had clothes covering, even up my thighs. I laughed the whole time and started to say whoo now I need a cigarette-Just kidding -it was the most action I've seen lately!!!
See I told ya I can have me some fun anywhere!!!
I'll be back!
I thank God for our safe trip and the chance to spend this time with Barbie and her sistas!!
Be blessed!

I"ve learned...

I learned that I like my teacher because she cries when we sing "Silent Night".Age 5
I learned that our dog doesn't want to eat my broccoli either.Age 7
I learned that when I wave to people in the country, they stop what they are doing and wave back.Age 9
I learned that just when I get my room the way I like it, Mom makes me clean it up again.Age 12
I learned that if you want to cheer yourself up, you should try cheering someone else up.Age 14
I learned that although it's hard to admit it, I'm secretly glad my parents are strict with me.Age 15
I learned that silent company is often more healing than words of advice.Age 24
I learned that brushing my child's hair is one of life's great pleasures.Age 26
I learned that wherever I go, the world's worst drivers have followed me there.Age 29
I learned that if someone says something unkind about me, I must live so that no one will believe it.Age 30
I learned that there are people who love you dearly but just don't know how to show it.Age 42
I learned that you can make some one's day by simply sending them a little note.Age 44
I learned that the greater a person's sense of guilt, the greater his or her need to cast blame on others.Age 46
I learned that children and grandparents are natural allies.Age 47
I learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.Age 48
I learned that singing "Amazing Grace" can lift my spirits for hours.Age 49
I learned that motel mattresses are better on the side away from the phone.Age 50
I learned that you can tell a lot about a man by the way he handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.Age 51
I learned that keeping a vegetable garden is worth a medicine cabinet full of pills.Age 52
I learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you miss them terribly after they die.Age 53
I learned that making a living is not the same thing as making a life.Age 58
I learned that if you want to do something positive for your children, work to improve your marriage.Age 61
I learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.Age 62
I learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.Age 64
I learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your family, the needs of others, your work, meeting new people, and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.Age 65
I learned that whenever I decide something with kindness, I usually make the right decision.Age 66
I learned that everyone can use a prayer.Age 72
I learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.Age 82
I learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love that human touch-holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.Age 90
I learned that I still have a lot to learn.Age 92

I pray you enough

ENOUGH
Recently, I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged, and the mother said, 'I love you, and I pray you enough.'The daughter replied, 'Mom, our life together has been more than enough.Your love is all I ever needed. I pray you enough, too, Mom.'They kissed, and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there, I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever? 'Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever goodbye? ''Well...I'm not as young as I once was, she lives so far away & has her own busy life. I have some challenges ahead, and the reality is - her next trip back will be for my funeral,' she said.'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I pray you enough.' May I ask what that means?'She began to smile. 'That's a prayer that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone.' She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she smiled even more.'When we said, 'I pray you enough,' we wanted the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.' Then, turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.
I pray you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.
I pray you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I pray you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I pray you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I pray you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I pray you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I pray you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.
Then, she began to cry, and walked away.
They say, it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an entire life to forget them.
